Some times gta may fail to start even when you haven't touched (modded) anything. In this case delete the file gta_sa.set inside the Documents/GTA San Andreas User Files directory and restart the app. You will have to reset your gta sa settings. CJ and peds are too dark. If cj isn't light correctly and appears very dark try disabling glsl.

I managed to run it with some memory patch or what ever it is, and it runs, but man, on like 9-19 FPS range. And I cant configure wine, because it opens like 10x10 window that I can not resize. I installed GTA San Andreas on wine, and I also had to install DXVK, using "WINEPREFIX=~/.wine setup_dxvk install" because without DXVK i experienced slow FPS and poor performances (a lot of stuttering). Using DXVK, performances are good as expected, but the downside is that the CPU temp reach about 70 celsius deegrees and the CPU's fan run at.

If you want to play GTA San Andreas stable on linux you'll need to buy a very expensive Graphic Card which is not worth it for these type of games. With that said, if you still want to try to stabilize your gaming experience, here's what I recommend, download the latest stable Nvidia drivers with these commands:
